While the second Strangers film “Prey At Night” seemed to leave audiences divided. There is no doubt the original has certainly left it’s mark on horror fans. A big part of that is thanks to the creepy masks worn by the titular villains. While there is only so much you can do with the concept in photo form, it literally is just a lot of standing around and letting the creepy lighting and mask do the work. That didn’t stop us from shooting a little mini-set of photos based on one of the films killers. Amber had been pushing to shoot something new for a while and when I was able to get my hands on a couple of masks from the film, it seemed like the time was right to do this quick shoot to try and get a few cool and hopefully creepy shots.  One thing that stuck out to me in both of the films was always the desolate areas and yellowish tint of whatever street lighting was nearby. As luck would have it there was an abandoned hotel or apartment complex nearby that she happily snuck into for us to get these shots. She was in character and a trooper while sweating in the 80 degree weather for these shots. I think we did a good job of honoring the look and vibe of the films while churning out a few nice images. I particularly love the one with the blind shadows and even kinda dig the blurred ones which felt just added a bit of eerieness to them. While it would have been cool to be able to release these photos around the time of the last films theatrical run, hopefully you guys still enjoy and like how they turned out.

P.S. No Cats were harmed in the making of these photos.
