Candyman Art

Candyman has always been a top 3 horror film for me ever since it terrified me the first time I saw it on VHS in 1993. It has always stood the test of time and is what I consider a perfect horror film. Now with the excitement building for the upcoming reboot/sequel from Nia DaCosta, I wanted to get in on the hype and draw something Candyman related. I didn’t know what it was going to be in the end, but I was very happy with the end result.

I have gotten heavy back into drawing again this year, learning how to utilize drawing on a tablet and trying out different techniques has been extremely therapeutic and rewarding. Sometimes things turn out just okay, and other times they I feel extra proud of what I was able to achieve. This Candyman piece is one that absolutely left me feeling prideful. I hope you all enjoy it too and lets all hope that this new Candyman movie can at least be a worthy companion piece to the original film.
