In my never ending daily quest to find new music that can hopefully trancend it’s way into my library for the long run, instead of just being a quick fix, I often turn to Soundcloud. More often than not I can stumble upon a good single track or two from an artist that is solid and enjoy it well enough which is great, but other times I really luck out and find an artist who’s full body of work lines up perfectly with what I want to hear and it stays in rotation permanently. Such is the case with Bad Penny.

Fear is something we all first experience in some shape or form at a young age. Whether it be the fear of the dark, fear of sleeping alone, and of course the dreaded monster under the bed. As children we are at our most impressionable and our imagination knows no boundaries, so you never know just what might make the wrong impression in terms of frightening you and you may not even know why it had such an effect on you. You just know you don’t like it and want to stay away from it. As adult horror fans, we seek out the fear, anticipating and hoping for it whenever we watch a new film or enter that haunt during October. We crave the experience of being scared and the rush that comes with it. Fear and horror go hand in hand, yet no matter how creepy the latest film is or how cool the new poster for it looks, there is nothing like that fear you felt as a child when watching those first horror films or coming across that eerie VHS cover art.
One thing I am determined to do in this new year with the site is spotlight more music. Music is not only an integral part of the films we love, it for us is an integral part of life and I can’t imagine how drab and terrible the world would be without it. So what better way to kick off this new focus on music than with some new music from one of my favorite artists, PILOTPRIEST.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!
It would be an understatement to say 2017 was a great year for horror, it was in fact a landmark year for horror. Particularly when you talk about two of this years easy standouts Get Out and IT. Without retreading too much of what EVERYONE has been talking about this past year, it has to be said that the runaway success of Get Out and the box office shattering power of IT are a fantastic thing for horror. Get Out being nominated for all sorts of awards and IT becoming the highest grossing horror film of all time is the capper on a year full of stand out horror flicks, so we have two lists here to recap what we liked about this years selections.
